Collapse Building Update: LASEMA, RRS, Keep Mum on Casualties

The number of casualties of the collapsed three storey building in Lagos lsland is being kept as confidential information by officials of LASEMA and the Rapid Response Squad (RRS).
However, witnesses within the vicinity of the collapsed building explained that majority of the victims rescued were pupils of the primary school on the top floor of the building.
It was learnt that the injured and those feared dead have been taken by the Lagos State Ambulances Service (LASAMBUS) to nearby Lagos Island Maternity Hospital.
Meanwhile, an unofficial report has it that fifty two pupils have been rescued so far. Efforts are in progress to rescue the remaining trapped victims.
