Ahead of March 9, 2019 gubernatorial and States Assembly elections, the Executive Chairman of Ikoyi/ Obalende Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Fuad Atanda-Lawal has called on constituents to eshew violence and vote for both  Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu, candidate for Lagos State Assembly, and Babajide Sanwo-Olu as governor of Lagos State.

Atanda-Lawal made the call Saturday when he joined the campaign train of Hon. Gbolahan Yishawu at Ikoyi.

“Our people in Ikoyi/Obalende are very peaceful people but we need to remind them not to involve in any form of violence. I urge them to troop out again and vote for the candidates of All Progressives Congress (APC), especially Hon. Yishawu who has been a good representative. I am sure that by the grace of God, we shall all celebrate with him and our governor,” the council boss enthused.

Reacting to why he is campaigning again, Hon. Yishawu who is re-contesting for the seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly said there is the need to encourage people who failed to vote in the last election to perform their civic right.

In his words: “There is need for us to remind our people that there is election on March 9, 2019; and while I appreciate them for their support during the last election, I want them to also come out to vote for me as their representative and Sanwo-Olu as our governor.”

However, Hon. Gbolahan Olusegun Yishawu campaign train went round Eti-Osa to sensitise people on the coming election and the need to vote for APC.

In a related development, Hon. Yishawu therefore appealed to the members of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari to paddle the canoe of the nation to the next level.

Some of his constituents, who spoke with our reporter promised to cast their votes for APC, saying Yishawu has impacted greatly on their lives.

One of the constituents, Abubakah Isiaka said he voted for President Muhammadu Buhari because of Yishawu and that he is ready again to go out and vote.

Mrs. Tinuke Daramola in her own comment also affirmed her support for the party, saying APC has done well both at the Federal and State, urging the party to provide jobs for the youths and do more in curbing corruption.
