You Are Bad Losers Ondo APC Tells PDP

The All Progressives Congress (APC), Ondo State chapter has lashed out at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), describing its members as, “bad losers.”

In a statement signed by the state Publicity Secretary party, Mr. Alex Kalejaye stated that the PDP’s allegation that that the ruling party financially influenced the voters during the House of Assembly election last Saturday was not only baseless and unfounded, it was incongruous with the anti-corruption stance of the APC-led government.

According to the statement, the leadership of the APC sees every election as an opportunity to gauge the party’s strength and popularity through vigorous but peace campaigns through which the party stated in unambiguous terms, its plans and vision for the people.

The House of Assembly  election on the 9th of March, Kalejaye informed showed that the good people of Ondo State still appreciate the APC as a party that cares for the genuine development of the State asserting that the election in the State was largely fair and peaceful, except in a few local government areas.

“In Idanre for example, the wife of a former Chief of Army Staff, turned the peaceful town to a theatre of war. The entire place was militarized. The result of the above was that members of APC were maimed, brutalized, harassed, intimidated, and scared away from performing their legitimate assignment.

“We call on the military command to investigate the roles played by its officers before and during the House of Assembly election in Idanre, and ensure appropriate sanction.

The APC will challenge the illegality perpetrated in Idanre and other places in the state, with a view to retrieving our stolen mandate.

“We also encourage the PDP to grow up and quit the realm of bad losers. They should learn to accept defeat without sulking; and support the sincere efforts to enhance a solid economic growth in the State,” the party sermonised.
